The hub for transaction data.

The Energy Data Hub (EDH) is a central data storehouse and processing facility. A “hub”, in which energy transaction data are electronically deposited every day. A diverse set of participants, including all kinds of energy companies, brokers, energy banks, and others contribute their confidential transaction data into the Hub every day.

EDH anonymizes, validates, standardizes and redistributes the information only in compliance with its rules for anonymity and data security.

Whereas current market information represents rough data & assessments aggregated into indexes, EDH brings dramatic new transparency to its participants, offering drill-down into individual transactions to roll-up into aggregations. Furthermore, the scope of EDH transaction input goes far beyond current reporting practices. EDH data spans spot to forward, financial to physical, options to index deals, and more. Transaction parameters captured by EDH cover all aspects of a transaction including price, volume, tenor, and more. The resulting data set represents an unprecedented information repository that canvasses both mature and emerging markets. EDH will bring to its participants information regarding transaction types and many market metrics for which no robust information is available today.

Finally, EDH grants participating companies and others access to its anonymous data-set directly or through licensed re-distributors, creating an entirely new level of transparency through a diversity of channels.

Development of concept and company.

Over the last four years, the data hub concept has been thought through, tested and vetted with the regulators and key industrial stakeholders. The Hub has passed many milestones as it has moved from concept to company to commercialization.

While the fundamental concept development is at an end, we are now resolving challenges in implementation and in much needed standardizations. Alongside our Founding Participants, we are moving quickly through these final developments.
